We receive information from third-party services when you connect your accounts:
- Steam: Your public profile, games library, current game status, Steam level, and badges
2.4 Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party services to operate and improve Playm:

2.5 Location Data
Playm does not collect, store, or process any location data. We do not access GPS, Wi-Fi, or IP-based location information for any purpose.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our services
- Match you with other players based on your current game activity
- Enable secure, end-to-end encrypted messaging between matched users
- Send push notifications about matches, messages, and app updates
- Maintain and improve our trust and safety systems
- Analyze usage patterns to improve the user experience
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following situations:
- With Other Users: Your profile information, game activity, and match status are visible to other users for matching purposes
- Firebase (Google): Push notification delivery and device identification
- Sentry: Anonymized crash reports and error tracking to improve app stability
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
5. End-to-End Encryption
We implement end-to-end encryption for all private messages using the Signal Protocol. This means:
- Messages are encrypted on your device before being sent
- Only you and your conversation partner can read the messages
- We cannot access the content of your encrypted messages
- Each message uses a unique encryption key (Double Ratchet algorithm)
- Encryption keys are stored securely on your device
6. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account at any time by following these steps:
- Open the Playm app and go to Settings
- Scroll to the Account section
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm your decision in the dialog
You have a 30-day grace period to recover your account by logging in again. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted.
What Happens After Deletion
- Profile information is deleted within 30 days
- Encrypted messages on our servers are deleted immediately
- Anonymized analytics data may be retained for improvement purposes
- Some information may be retained to comply with legal obligations
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights:
- Access: You can request copies of your personal data
- Rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure: You can request deletion of your personal data
- Restriction: You can request restriction of processing

Playm is strictly intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Our app includes an age verification step during registration that prevents users under 18 from creating an account.
